What is “y/g/05”?

This is the place we come together to ask and answer questions about God. Who is God? What does He tell us about Himself? What does He desire for me? These are great questions with amazing answers! We talk about this kind of thing at Youth Group. Oh, ya, and we call youth group, “y/g/05” (at least until next year).

We meet every Wednesday night from 6:30-8:00 p.m. in “Cafe 19.” Cafe 19 is a sort of Coffee House that gives us a great place to connect. Consider yourself invited.

Junior High Sunday School

Junior High Sunday school is a great time of learning and Christian discipleship! Godly teachers connect with 7th and 8th grade students and teach them God’s Word. This is a great time to get to know friends, great teachers and God’s Word. We meet every Sunday morning from 9:30-10:30—and you’re invited to join us!

Bible Quizzing

Junior and Senior High students get together every Monday night during the school year to quiz over the parts of God’s Word they’ve been studying. You start in Fall with a couple chapters and then keep increasing the amount you quiz over all year.

The team also travels about once a month to area quiz meets. We usually go to Plover (near Stevens Point), La Crosse, Kenosha and Prairie du Chien. In 2004-05 we’ll be quizzing over Matthew from the New International Version of the Bible.

Bible quizzing requires a major commitment (2-3 hours of homework every week!). The work is definitely worth it!

Serving in the church

You can get more involved in lots of different places. Children’s ministries (preschool department during a church service, Vacation Bible School, or serving in Awana with your parents) is one area you might consider. Click here to email our Christian Education Director, and she can get you started!
