Ambassadors

		Ambassadors is a loosely age-emphasized group of 40's and 50's, but easily sliding into the 60's. An ambassador is defined in Roget's Thesaurus as a "diplomat, minister, envoy, emissary (messenger)." It is our desire as a group to closely resemble the description of that word contained in II Corinthians 5:20 (NIV): "Therefore we are ambassadors for Christ as though God were entreating through us; we beg you on behalf of Christ, be ye reconciled to God." At this time, we are just finishing a facilitated DVD study by John Ortberg on living everyday as Psalm 90 tells us to - as if it's the day before your last day on earth - to learn what is temporal and what is eternal - to decide what counts and what doesn't.
		Sunday Morning Community
		What are we studying?		August 9: DVD on how we got our English Bible. September 13 & 20: Dr. Kaiser will be speaking on the book of Daniel.
		When and where do we meet?		We meet from 9:30 - 10:45 a.m. (immediately after the first service) in the back of the Sanctuary.
		What else do we do?		We begin each session with a fellowship coffee/snack time to get to know each other and catch up on the happenings of the week. We continue with a session of prayer for needs in the group and praise for prayers answered. We have occasional fellowship times during the year outside of our study time - corn roast, beach party, game night. Several of our members work weekly with the Good News Club in a local public elementary school.
		Our Leadership Team		Don Silvis (former missionary to Austria for 36 years) is our Elder representative.
